The beauty of Vengurla lies in its white sand beach, cashew gardens, coconut and mango groves. The town of Vengurla is truly beautiful. Two major attraction of the place other than the pristine beach are the Shri Devi Sateri Temple and the Rameshwar Mandir. The town as actually a settlement of traders which was twice burnt and plundered. To its north-west you will see an island popularly called the Burnt Island.
Malvan, once an island but now a part of the mainland, has an incredible number of palm trees. There are two forts in this small town, Sindhudurg and Padmagad. Today the place is famous for it tourism, salt production and Chinese clay pottery. The place also has a wonderful array of delicacy.
If you travel by Konkan Railway, the nearest railway station is Kudal. You can travel to this place by road. Vengurla is 522 km from Mumbai while Malvan is 514 km from Mumbai. If you are already at Ratnegiri, then you are only 200 km from Malvan.
