 Dedicated to the Goddess of wealth, this beautiful temple is located near the north of the Malabar Hills. The beauty of the temple, its mythological importance and its proximity to the sea shore all combine together to make the place a wonderful tourist attraction. The gateway to the temple is ornately designed. Inside the compound the place is all abuzz with vendors selling flowers, garlands and other mementoes symbolizing piety.
Legend has it that a certain construction was getting continually hampered by the sea. Only after the temple was built, the construction was successfully completed. during the time of Navaratri, the place becomes extremely busy as people from all over India gather to worship the Goddess. The idols that you will find here are well decorated with gold ornaments.
