The city of Mumbai is extremely well connected with the rest of the country and with the world as well. Be it air, rail or road, communication to Mumbai is easy as breeze. If you intend to travel by air, there are a number of international flights that land at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. In case you are already in India and want to take a flight to Mumbai, there are flights connecting Mumbai from all cities. The domestic airport and the international airport is four kilometers away from each other. From the airport, the city center at Nariman Point is only 30 km away. The journey takes just about an hour by car.
There are two main railway stations in Mumbai and a number of trains from all over India arrive here. Wherever you are in India you will always have a train to take you to Mumbai. You can either get down at the Mumbai Central or at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
Mumbai has a pretty good road network too. There are many scenic spots and tourist centers that you can visit in a car. There are also long distance buses operated by the state government.
